Terms & Conditions for Promotions and Competitions

These general conditions for promotions and competitions apply to competitions and other promotional activities organised by Homegrown. By participating in the competitions, the participant agrees to the following Competition Terms and Conditions. In addition, each competition and/or other promotion may have specific terms and conditions mentioned in the competition rules.

Qualifying criteria and rules:

1.1. Excluded from participation are employees of Homegrown Brokers (Pty) Ltd and any of its subsidiaries.
1.2. The competition runs from the 11 November 2023 to 31 December 2023.
2.1. If the participant is selected as one of the weekly winners, you agree to provide Homegrown Brokers (Pty) Ltd with a testimonial confirming that you are the winner and that you received your quoted premium value back in cash.
2.2. The winner agrees that their name and testimonial that can be used by Homegrown Brokers for marketing purposes and not limited to its website and social media pages.
2.3. The participant is obliged to provide accurate, current, and complete information when participating in the competition. Homegrown Brokers may request a winner, before presenting the prize, to provide proof of their identity.
2.4. The winner of the draw will be chosen by random selection and the decision of Homegrown Brokers, is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the results and the awarding of the prize.
2.5. Homegrown Brokers standard policy terms, conditions and excesses will apply. This will be clearly communicated with the winner before the commencement of cover.
3. The winner will only qualify for the prize if Homegrown Brokers deems the winner an acceptable risk based on Homegrown Brokers own policies and procedures and at Homegrown Brokers sole discretion.
4.1. The winner is not obliged to take up the insurance, nor is the winner obliged to remain a client of Homegrown Brokers during the 12-month period or for any period thereafter.
4.2. The prize is personal and is registered in the name of the winner. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for other products or services or cash. In case of refusal or non-acceptance of the prize or conditions that are inherent to this competition, the prize will not be awarded. In that case, Homegrown Brokers is entitled, at its sole discretion, to choose another winner.
4.3. At the request of Homegrown Brokers, the winner of the prize will cooperate in promotional activities to the extent that can be reasonably expected of him/her, including, where agreed, publicity regarding the announcements of the winner across all media including radio, television and online, including, but not limited to social media platforms. For cooperating with these promotional activities, no financial compensation will be paid unless agreed to by Homegrown Brokers in writing.
5. Participants in this competition consent to the processing of personal information in connection with participation in this competition. Homegrown Brokers will safely store all participants’ personal information in its database. Personal Information that is shared on social media platforms, not via Direct Messenger will not be subject to these protections as this information will be public information.
6.1. Personal information may be used to execute the competition and the granting of the prize.
6.2. Homegrown Brokers is in no way responsible for any damages arising from participation in this competition or for any technical malfunctions, failures, or delays with respect of participation in this competition or the selection of the winner or the receipt of the prize.
6.3. Homegrown Brokers is entitled to, at its discretion and without notice, change or modify these terms and conditions specific to this competition without giving a reason to discontinue, modify or adapt the competition for reasons of its own without any obligation to compensate any damages on behalf of the participant. Any changes or adaptations within the competition, will be made public in an appropriate manner (e.g., via its website).
7. Homegrown Brokers reserves the right to reject entries from entrants who act outside of the fair spirit of this competition.
8. Homegrown Brokers is the proprietary holder of all information resulting from this competition.
